With the consolidation of research activities at the University, Univap has established Research Committees — Biosafety, the Animal Ethics Committee (CEUA), and the Research Ethics Committee (CEP).
The Biosafety Committee plays a fundamental role in surveillance and monitoring at Univap, ensuring compliance with biosafety regulations. It is responsible for drafting and disseminating the norms and guidelines required within a university setting.
The Animal Ethics Committee (CEUA) is an institutional, specialized, and autonomous body with its own regulations. It is responsible for the approval, oversight, and monitoring of teaching and scientific research activities involving animals at UNIVAP. The Committee is accredited by the National Council for the Control of Animal Experimentation (CONCEA) for such activities.
The Research Ethics Committee (CEP) is responsible for protecting the rights and dignity of research participants, helping to enhance the legal security of researchers. At the same time, it contributes to the quality of research at Univap, playing a significant educational and institutional development role.
