O Prof. Dr. Mituo Uehara, pesquisador e docente da Universidade recebeu convite de um editor americano para escrever um capítulo para o livro "Thermodynamics". Este convite veio em função da publicação, pelo professor, do artigo "Thermodynamics of the heart: Relation between cardiac output and oxygen consumption", na revista indexada American Journal of Physics.
O referido artigo foi considerado de ótima qualidade, tendo despertado o interesse do editor em convidar o professor a participar da edição deste livro.
A Universidade sente-se honrada com tal convite, pois o Prof. Mituo, uma cabeça privilegiada, além de fazer parte da Instituição, sempre trabalhou com muita seriedade e com grande capacidade técnica, ajudando a divulgar o nome da Universidade na comunidade acadêmica.
O Prof. Mituo possui doutorado em Física pelo Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (1987) e pós-doutorado na Universidade de Oxford (Inglaterra). Atualmente é professor e pesquisador da Universidade do Vale do Paraíba. Tem vasta experiência na área de Física, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: sistema cardiovascular, filosofia, filosofia da ciência, espectroscopia molecular, entre outros.
Tem mais de 30 artigos científicos publicados em revistas indexadas, participação em vários congressos e simpósios e atua ainda como orientador de dissertações de mestrado na Universidade.
